Bad Wildungen, Urban Sports Park

In the heart of Bad Wildungen, an ultra-modern 600 m² skate park has been created on the former cinder pitch, enriching the cityscape. This skate park, built in robust in-situ concrete, combines sophisticated design with functional requirements. The special feature of this project is the well thought-out combination of urban street elements and dynamic flow shapes, which, as a street-flow concept, enables a variety of routes. Whether beginner or pro – the different sections of the park, from gentle bumps to challenging rails and ledges, offer every user a tailor-made riding experience.

The design of the skate park is characterized by a harmonious integration into the natural environment. The clever placement of higher elements at the edges means that the view of the entire park remains unobstructed, which not only emphasizes the aesthetics but also increases safety. The use of shades of blue as an accent color not only sets visual highlights, but also creates a visual connection to the town of Bad Wildungen. The park is complemented by a calisthenics area, which perfectly rounds off the concept of a versatile, integrative exercise meeting point. The result is a unique place that attracts sports enthusiasts from beyond the city limits and invites them to linger.
